10 Most Promising Jobs for Next Decade

SEOUL, Nov. 13 (Korea Bizwire)Technicians and researchers in the gas and energy areas are chosen as the brightest jobs in the next 10 years in South Korea. The Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training announced on November 11 that it selected the 20 most promising careers in the future by surveying vocational specialists and workers in 412 types of job categories.

According to the study, technical and research staff in gas and energy fields take the first place, getting 99.34 points out of 100. They are followed by health hygiene and environment inspectors, aeromechanics, food service managers, social workers, life science researchers, fire engineering technicians and researchers, management analysts, recycling plant and incinerator operators, and automatic assembly line and industrial robot operators.

Ten other careers such as natural science researchers, veterinarians, product planning specialists, judges and prosecutors, insurance examiners, pilots, air traffic controllers, clinical counselors, police officers and firefighters, also listed their names on the top 20.

The study showed emerging job lists depending on categories as well. In terms of rewards, aeromechanic specialists are expected to earn a lot more money than others. Social workers will be in demand most while gas and energy technicians and researchers have the best job security. Jewelry craftsmen have the best possibilities to develop.
