2017 Asia Rugby Seven Series 2nd Round to be Held in Incheon

SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Korea Bizwire)Third-place South Korea will look to plow their way through Malaysia, Hong Kong and the Philippines at the second round of the 2017 Asia Rugby Seven Series this weekend.

South Korea is slotted into Pool B and will look to improve upon its third-place finish from the first round, which was held in Hong Kong on September 1 and 2.

Held at Incheon Namdong Asiad Rugby Field, the game of rugby sevens – a form of rugby where each side fields seven players in two seven-minute halves instead of the typical 15 players in two 40-minute halves – will play a part in determining who moves on to the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco.

After the final third round that is to be held in Sri Lanka on October 13 and 14, the two teams with the most points will be given world cup berths.
