2023 Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival Returns After Four-Year Hiatus

CHEONGDO, April 15 (Korea Bizwire) – The Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival is making a comeback after a four-year break. The festival is set to take place at the Cheongdo Bullfighting Stadium in Hwayang-eup and will last for three days from the 14th to the 16th of this month. The event will kick off with traditional folk games followed by the Traditional Folk Bullfighting Competition in six weight classes, which offers a prize fund of 130 million won.

The festival will also feature concerts by indie musicians, marching band parades, puppet shows, magic shows, mime shows, and dance performances. Attendees can also participate in unique exhibition and experience programs such as bau paper toy making and face painting, and view exhibitions of bovine-themed artworks.
