SEOUL, May 29 (Korea Bizwire) — The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization have announced the launch of the 2023 Walking Trip Week centered on the 4,500-km Korea Trail from May 26 to June 9.
South Korea’s longest walking trail, the Korea Trail, connects the southeastern port city of Busan to the southwestern county of Haenam along the picturesque southern coast.
Travelers who explore the Korea Trail using apps like Tranggle, Challengers, and Ramblr will have a chance to win gift certificates and various other prizes.
In addition, the agencies are initiating the Korean Trail Plogging Campaign to promote walking trips as a low-carbon and eco-friendly form of tourism.
Rest stops along the Korea Trail will provide visitors with information about the local walk-travel program and other festive events in the area.
