’2nd Seoul Circus Festival’ to Kick Off This Weekend

SEOUL, May 2 (Korea Bizwire)An annual contemporary circus festival will kick off in Seoul over the weekend, with a number of performances set to open throughout the month free of charge.

“The 2nd Seoul Circus Festival — Circus Cabaret” will begin Saturday for a three-day run at the Oil Tank Culture Park located in Mapo, northwestern Seoul, according to the Seoul metropolitan government.

It will present 25 circus performances by as many overseas and home troupes, including the South Korean premieres of four shows from France, Belgium and Taiwan.

Hands-on programs for visitors and exhibitions will be offered, while a circus forum for international and local professionals and experts will also take place over the period.

Even after the festival, some circus performances will continue to be staged on weekends in May at the same place, and people can watch 30 shows free of charge, including the 25 to be shown in the festival.
