SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — A new survey has that found four in ten users of the new Kakao Bank online banking app have a monthly salary of over five million won.

The survey, conducted by pollster Nice RNC, revealed that among 9,600 users of the banking app aged between 20 and 59, those falling under the income bracket of over five million won accounted for 43 percent.

In the meantime, users whose monthly wage was below three million won accounted for 23 percent, while those earning between three and five million accounted for 33 percent.

When broken down by occupation, users who had an office job accounted for 43 percent, while business owners accounted for 12 percent.

In terms of age, those in their 40s were the age group with the largest user base, closely followed by those in their 30s, accounting for 35 and 29 percent, respectively.

Users in their 20s and 50s accounted for 21 and 15 percent, respectively.

When divided by gender, at 59 percent, more male users were interested in Kakao’s new banking app than women.

The survey also found KB, Shinhan, NH and KEB Hana Bank were the top four main banks used among the Kakao Bank users surveyed.
