SEOUL, Jan. 11 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. swept the top spots in all major categories of best washing machines evaluated by a U.S. consumer advocacy magazine once again this year after last year’s success.
Consumer Reports chose the South Korean home appliances giant’s products as the best washer of the year in three categories — front-loading washers, top-loading washers and agitator washers.
LG swept first, second and third spots in the premium front-load washing machine category.
The three types of washing machines account for 90 percent of the U.S. washing machine market.
Consumer Reports, in particular, gave an outstanding review to the LG Tromm washer that ranked first in the front-loading washer category, saying that it was very quiet with excellent cleaning power, and had the highest water and energy efficiency.
Even in the best washer and dryer combo review that the Consumer Reports announced late last year, LG earned nine out of the 11 best combos.
