SEOUL, Dec. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics plans to introduce two new concepts for its plant cultivation appliance, “LG Tiiun,” at CES 2025, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition.

The new designs integrate interior aesthetics with functionality, expanding LG’s foray into plant lifestyle technology.

The new LG Tiiun concepts feature a stand light design and a side table design. Both products are versatile, functioning as plant growers as well as mood lighting and speakers.

The stand light model offers adjustable LED lighting, catering to both daytime plant growth and evening ambiance. The side table model, inspired by traditional bedside lamps, includes a Bluetooth speaker for music playback.

Users can easily cultivate plants with seed kits, water, and nutrients, while the LED lighting ensures optimal growth. Each unit can hold up to four seed kits, allowing for simultaneous cultivation of various plants.

The appliances also integrate with the LG ThinQ app, enabling users to control lighting settings and receive water refill notifications.

LG plans to launch the stand light version of LG Tiiun in the latter half of 2025, while the release date for the side table model remains undecided. These updates mark LG’s continued expansion of its plant appliance lineup, following the original Tiiun in 2021 and the Tiiun Mini in 2022.

The domestic market for indoor plant cultivation appliances has seen significant growth, driven by the pandemic. According to the Korea Invention Promotion Association, the market, valued at KRW 121.6 billion ($92 million) in 2021, is projected to grow at an annual rate of 75%, reaching KRW 1.75 trillion ($1.3 billion) by 2026.

Jang Young-jo, head of LG’s Sprout Company, commented, “We are committed to enhancing customer experiences by aligning with lifestyle trends and creating unique offerings that make plant care more enjoyable with LG Tiiun.”
