A Beautiful Summer Night at an Ancient Palace

Seoul, July 21 (Korea Bizwire)The Cultural Heritage Administration has announced that they will be opening Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace at night from August 11 to August 28.

The special opening hours will be from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and visitors should enter before 9 p.m. The National Palace Museum of Korea, located inside Gyeongbokgung Palace, will also extend its opening hours to 10 p.m. during that period. Gyeongbokgung Palace will be closed every Tuesday, and Changgyeonggung Palace will be closed every Monday.

Tickets can be reserved through Auction Ticket and Interpark Ticket starting August 5 at 2 p.m. Senior citizens over 65 can buy tickets through the site or make reservations by phone. Foreign visitors can only buy tickets on the site. Entrance fees are 3,000 won for Gyeongbokgung Palace, and 1,000 won for Changgyeonggung Palace.

The management offices of both Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changgyeonggung Palace are also seeking volunteers to guide visitors or patrol the palace area, from July 20.
