SEOUL, July 9 (Korea Bizwire) — Cheil Worldwide Inc., the advertising arm of Samsung Group, announced on Wednesday that its contrarian-concept advertisement created for the recruitment of consultants for Samsung Life Insurance Co. is drawing significant attention from job seekers.
The newly-released advertisement depicts a job interview scene in which a group of candidates who apply for consultant jobs at Samsung Life act not as interviewees but as interviewers asking an incumbent branch manager about the company.
When the candidates ask what the company will offer if they join, the branch manager replies, “Our company works on a system-based approach. We can provide support through our systematic program.”
“This advertisement aims to break the prejudice that candidates for this job should have an outgoing personality, far-reaching human network and abundant social experiences. We welcome anyone with an interest in this job to apply and join us,” officials at Samsung Life said.
They added, “Instead of requiring candidates to have strong specs and capabilities, we focus on providing extensive support for the growth of our employees.”
Cheil Worldwide said the advertisement is drawing good responses from job seekers, surpassing 1.4 million views on YouTube.
