GANGNEUNG, Feb. 15 (Korea Bizwire) — Adonis flowers, known as a harbinger of spring, have come to a full, golden bloom in a snowy field.
A forest located on the outskirts of Gangneung, Gangwon Province was covered with snow on Tuesday, from which a number of adonis flowers came into full bloom, awaiting the spring.
Some of them pushed through the snow, revealing themselves in the open.
Adonis flowers are loved by many as flowers that bloom the earliest in the winter, signaling the coming of spring.
The flower symbolizes eternal happiness. It stays folded at night and opens up at sunrise.
In Gangwon Province, the most prominent habitats for adonis flowers are located in Donghae’s Naengcheon Park and the Daegwallyeong Pass.
