AI-based Program to Recommend Dietary Supplements

SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Korea Bizwire)Emart Inc. announced Monday that it will join hands with Monolabs, an local IT startup, to introduce IAM, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based dietary supplement recommendation service.

Emart said it will launch the first IAM store at its Seongsu branch in eastern Seoul on Thursday, with the goal of opening six stores next year.

At an IAM store, each visitor can fill out a questionnaire about gender, age, health condition, and lifestyle which will be taken up by the AI algorithm to recommend the best dietary supplement combinations among 21 choices.

A nutritionist-certified counselor will carry out health counseling at the store.

Upon selecting dietary supplements of choice and the duration of dosage, Kolmar B&H Co. will manufacture the supplements, pack them into individual packages, and deliver them to the customer.
