SEOUL, Mar. 6 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Facilities Management Corp. (SFMC) announced on Tuesday that it will be introducing a new taxi hailing service for disabled persons using artificial intelligence (AI) speakers.
The hailing service requires Clova, Naver’s AI platform, or LG Uplus’ U+tv. The user can simply ask the AI platform to call a cab.
The AI speaker also provides information on fine dust, as well as the taxi’s estimated time of arrival.
Using the service requires contacting the SFMC Call Center (1588-4388) to join the service, installing a Clova app on a smartphone, and synchronizing it with the service account for hailing services for the disabled.
The SFMC, in collaboration with LG Uplus, will give out free AI speakers to 300 customers, based on the applications it receives by March 22.
