Airlines normally don’t sell the blankets used by those travelling in first class. Some passengers take them with them from time to time, or sell them at second-hand stores.

A special package for first-class passengers that includes pajamas, slippers and a pouch, is also being sold for 89,000 won.

Jeju Air Co., the country’s biggest budget carrier, is currently operating ‘in-flight cafes’ in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province where actual flight attendants in official uniforms sell in-flight meals, neck pillows, dolls and other goods.

Airlines are stepping up to turn ‘in-flight experience’ into merchandise in order to secure customer loyalty, industry watchers said.
