SEOUL, Oct. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean skincare company AmorePacific has launched a new makeup campaign dubbed ‘Make Up Your Life’ for cancer patients, which will see the company’s door-to-door salespeople known as ‘Amore Counselors’ visit hospitals across the country to give makeup advice and beauty counseling.
Beginning at Korea University Guro Hospital on Thursday, the ‘Make Up Your Life’ campaign will see counselors from AmorePacific visit around 700 cancer patients at 16 renowned hospitals in October and November to give beauty advice to those who are experiencing drastic changes in appearance as a result of the side effects of cancer treatment, such as hair loss and skin conditions.
According to AmorePacific, anyone who has had cancer surgery within the last two years and is currently going through cancer treatment such as radiation or chemotherapy is eligible to apply for participation in the new makeup campaign.
Every patient participating in the new beauty campaign will receive a “Make Up Your Life” kit, a selection of skincare and makeup products, the company said.
AmorePacific is the latest in the South Korean beauty industry to increase its efforts to appeal to those with medical conditions, following the likes of PSC Wig Studio which released a special wig lineup for those undergoing cancer treatment earlier this year.
