SEOUL, Sept. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – An annual fireworks festival will be held in Seoul early next month, featuring various fireworks designs in the sky over the Han River, the event’s organizers said Wednesday.

Sponsored by the Hanwha Group, the Seoul International Fireworks Festival will take place on Oct. 8, Hanwha said in a statement.

Along with Korean fireworks designers, teams from Japan and Spain will join this year’s event.

A total of 100,000 shots will be fired during the 80-minute displays starting at 7:20 p.m. on the day, Hanwha said.

The annual event has drawn about 1 million viewers each year.

Hanwha will broadcast a live video stream of the festival at the event’s website (www.hanwhafireworks.com).
