SEOUL, Korea, Oct 27 (Korea Bizwire) – “Ondol,” is considered one of the three major traditional inventions representing Korea. Also called “gudeul,” the ondol heating system uses direct heat transfer from wood smoke to the underside of a thick masonry floor, although today wood-fired heating was replaced by hot-water pipes.

AOG System, a company specializing in manufacturing and installation of ondol heating systems, has recently come up with a low-carbon ondol system for overseas users in far-flung countries such as Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Russia, and Norway. Combined with a gas-fueled heater, the ondol system boasts higher efficiency and quicker warming capability than conventional heating systems hitherto used in these countries.

The company participated in July and September in trade shows held in Siberia and Belarus, followed by upcoming expositions such as the Japan Home & Building Show 2013 in Tokyo, the 2013 Mega Show Part 2 in Hong Kong, the 2013 Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo in London, and the 2013 Asia Business Festa in Osaka between late October and November.

As the heating system has been proven superior in terms of indoor air quality and general well-being for the users during wintertime from a thousand years of continuous use, it is expected that AOG System will be able to get good responses in forthcoming trade shows and sign on as many local partners as possible.
