Army Division Holds Boot Camp Completion Ceremony for 1st Time in 2 Years

SEOUL, June 16 (Korea Bizwire)South Korean Army’s 35th Infantry Division on Wednesday invited families to a ceremony for the completion of Army recruits’ basic military training, for the first time in two years and five months following the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

Family members filled in the hall at a boot camp in Imsil, North Jeolla Province earlier that day to see their sons after a long, five-week basic military training.

When recruits entered the hall at 11 a.m., family members erupted in passionate cheers and applause.

'´Æ¸§ÇÑ ±ºÀÎÀÌ µÆ±¸³ª'

Following the ceremony, recruits bid farewell to their colleagues before setting off with their family members.

They were allowed to meet with their family members and leave the base until 5 p.m. that day.

The Infantry Division also plans to hold an enlistment ceremony for fresh recruits starting on July 5.
