SEOUL, May 7 (Korea Bizwire) – Asiana Airlines designated the last week of April as the “Green Week” to preserve wetlands nearby its airport operations in and outside Korea.
From April 28 to May 2, its employees in 10 domestic airport service branches and 15 overseas airport service units in New York and Beijing offered environmental cleanup activities such as removal of non-native plants in marshes in Damyang, Gangeo Wetland Ecology Park and other areas.
Asiana Airlines has been supporting those activities since 2011 by helping preserve natural environment for native plants to grow in the wild.
An official at Asian Airlines said, “As an eco-friendly company, Asiana Airlines has supported the cleanup operations to preserve wetlands, dubbed as ‘Heart of Ecology.’ By expanding the activities to overseas airport service branches, we will implement the campaign as one of our major corporate social contribution services.”
