INCHEON, Nov. 13 (Korea Bizwire) — Tens of thousands attended the World Club Dome Korea 2017, generating economic spinoffs of billions of won for the local economy.
According to the Incheon Metropolitan City Government, this year’s World Club Dome, which was held between September 22 and 24, attracted 120,000 people, with an economic impact of 128 billion won.

This year’s WCD in Incheon was the first time the event was held in Asia, with an impressive line up of some 150 South Korean and international DJs.
Since 2013, when the music festival first began in Germany, the WCD has been held around the world, with the slogan of ‘the world’s biggest club’, transforming venues into giant clubs for music fans.
While there were originally concerns about noise, complaints dropped drastically as the event went on, thanks to noise barriers that the local government built, with the number of complaints going from 300 on the first day to 55 on the last day of the event.

“With more promotional events, we hope to attract more EDM fans next year,” an Incheon government official said.
