SEOUL, Jul. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — Woowa Brothers Corp., a South Korean service provider for a major food delivery app, Baedal Minjok, will open a next generation restaurant, Merry-Go Kitchen, in Seoul’s Songpa District.
The restaurant will be run with ‘smart orders,’ autonomous driving robots, and other cutting-edge technology.
At the restaurant, each table will be marked with a QR code that can be scanned with the Baedal Minjok app to access the restaurant’s menu, make orders, and pay.
Once the food has been prepared, restaurant staff will place it on a self-driving waiter robot and type in the table number for delivery. The robot then will find the fastest route to deliver the food to the customer.
These robots can deliver food to a maximum of four tables per round, and can detect and avoid obstacles.
