SEOUL, May 19 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korea’s leading food delivery app Baemin is teaming up with local streaming platform Tving to offer a bundled subscription service, in a move seen as a strategic response to growing competition from Coupang Eats, which operates its own streaming platform, Coupang Play.

Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baemin, announced on May 19 that it will release the new bundled service on June 2. The offering will allow users to enjoy Baemin’s subscription-based “Baemin Club” benefits—such as free delivery and discount coupons—alongside Tving’s video content.

Baemin Club, launched in September 2024, provides unlimited free delivery for Baemin’s “thrifty delivery” option and discounts for single-order deliveries.

Tving’s content includes live sports broadcasts like professional baseball and basketball, original series, popular TV shows, domestic and international films, and live news channels.

To promote the launch, Baemin will run a special offer: for the first three months beginning June 2, new subscribers can access Tving for just 100 won (approximately $0.07) during the first month, in addition to the promotional Baemin Club subscription fee of 1,990 won.

Users who pre-register between May 19 and June 1 will also receive the 100-won add-on cost back as points. From the second month onward, subscribers can continue using both services for 5,490 won per month.

Baemin said it plans to explore further partnerships with companies in commerce and digital content sectors. “Our goal is to enhance the value of Baemin Club beyond free delivery, positioning it as a cost-effective subscription service,” the company stated.
