SEOUL, July 14 (Korea Bizwire) – Baja SAE Korea, an intercollegiate engineering design competition for undergraduate and graduate engineering students, will be held at Yeungnam University from July 16 to 19. In this year’s competition, 38 teams from 26 universities including Hanyang University, Korea University of Technology and Education and others will compete to produce the best hand-made vehicles.
As an international competition, Baja SAE Korea is joined by foreign students, but due to MERS, foreign teams gave up joining this year’s event. The best vehicle topping the static and dynamic tests and an endurance race over 3.2km of off-road segments will be awarded 3 million won in prize money from the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea.
