Banner Art for PyeongChang Games on Display at Gangneung KTX Station

SEOUL, Dec. 21 (Korea Bizwire) – A banner art exhibition titled “All Connected” opened at the bullet train KTX station in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, the culture ministry said Thursday.

Part of the Cultural Olympiad of the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, the exhibition will combine artworks by popular Korean artists with messages from well-wishers that were selected from entries filed this summer.

All together 2,018 banners are hung from the ceiling of the newly finished train station built in time for the global sports event.

The upcoming Winter Games will run from Feb. 9-25 in the alpine resort county of PyeongChang, and the two sub-host cities of Gangneung and Jeongseon.

The country will operate KTX bullet trains from Incheon International Airport to Gangneung Station in Gangneung.

The 277.5-kilometer railway will include a stop at Jinbu Station in PyeongChang, which will be the main train station for visitors who want to see snow sports venues, and the opening and closing ceremonies for the Olympics.

The banner art show, which was also shown at Olympic Park in eastern Seoul for the month of November, runs until Dec. 31.
