SEOUL, Dec. 29 (Korea Bizwire)Boy bands BigBang and EXO reigned over South Korea’s digital and albums charts in 2015, respectively, while none of their female counterparts made it into the top 10 of either chart, a local music website said Tuesday.

BigBang’s “Bang Bang Bang,” “Loser” and “Bae Bae” took the No. 1, 2 and 4 spots, respectively, on Gaon Chart’s 2015 digital chart, which tracked music downloads from Jan. 1 to Friday.

Songs by the five-member group and its subunit GD x Taeyang accounted for 10 percent of the top 100 downloads, the chart also showed.

Meanwhile, EXO crushed the competition in album sales, with more than 1.2 million copies of four albums — “EXODUS,” “Love Me Right” and their Chinese-language versions — sold in 2015.

“EXODUS,” “Love Me Right” and the Chinese version of “EXODUS” took the top three spots, followed by SHINEE’s “Odd” in fourth place. The Chinese version of “Love Me Right” came in at eighth place.

No girl group was in the top 10 of either chart, Gaon Chart said.

Miss A ranked 11th and Sistar 12th in digital sales. Girls’ Generation’s “Lion Heart” was the 11th-best-selling album with 140,554 copies sold.’
