SEOUL, April 1 (Korea Bizwire) — BMW Group Korea and BYD Korea announced they will unveil a slate of new models at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, set to open on April 3. The two automakers are showcasing their latest innovations as part of their continued expansion in the South Korean market.
BMW will debut several new vehicles, including a facelifted version of the New i4 M50 xDrive Gran Coupé and the New iX M70 xDrive, which features the company’s latest electrification technologies. Its MINI brand will also present the performance-focused New MINI JCW and the New MINI Cooper Convertible to Korean audiences for the first time.
The automaker plans to exhibit a total of 13 models at the event, including the New S 1000 RR, a high-performance motorcycle from BMW Motorrad.
“This year marks the 30th anniversary of BMW’s presence in Korea and the 20th for MINI—a truly special milestone,” said Hansung Yoon, CEO of BMW Group Korea. “We’ve prepared a diverse lineup of new vehicles to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to innovation and our future vision for the Korean market.”
BYD Korea, meanwhile, will showcase eight models, including this year’s releases—the Atto 3, Seal, and Sealion—alongside five additional vehicles. Among them are the U8, a large SUV from premium brand Yangwang; the U9, an electric supercar; the D9 MPV and Z9GT sports sedan from luxury brand Denza; and the BAO5 SUV from personalization brand Formula Bao.
All but the U9 will be making their Korean debut.
“BYD remains committed to developing advanced technologies that prioritize safety, performance, and sustainability,” said Leo Liu, General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Auto Sales Division. “Our goal is to enable a safer, more comfortable, and enjoyable e-mobility experience for everyone.”
The 2025 Seoul Mobility Show offers a glimpse into the automotive innovations set to shape the coming year, with major players using the platform to strengthen their footprint in one of Asia’s most dynamic EV markets.
