SEOUL, Nov. 4 (Korea Bizwire) — K-pop boy band BTS has topped 1 billion streams on Apple Music, becoming the first Korean artist to do so, its management agency said Sunday.
Apple Music announced the feat on Friday, local time, according to Big Hit Entertainment. The agency said that streaming numbers were evenly distributed across the world, in regions such as the U.S., South Korea, Japan, Europe, Canada, Australia and Southeast Asia.
BTS is scheduled to hold “Love Yourself” concerts in the Japanese cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka later this month.
