SEOUL, April 17 (Korea Bizwire) – The K-pop group BTS will hold a pop-up exhibition titled ‘Monochrome’ in Seoul’s Seongsu-dong neighborhood from April 26 to May 12, their agency Big Hit Music announced on April 17.
BTS shared black-and-white posters photographed before the members’ military enlistment through their official social media accounts on the same day.
According to Big Hit Music, the concept behind this pop-up is “delivering memories with BTS to fans around the world.” It is inspired by the “Memory Cloud,” where “precious memories of ARMY (the BTS fandom) and BTS are transformed into clouds and stored in bottles.”
The “Memory Cloud” first appeared at a BTS fan meeting in 2018. The monochrome photos unveiled recently are said to be part of the “Memory Cloud” prepared by BTS for their fans.
On April 15, Big Hit Music launched a virtual experience website (https://www.mncrlogistics.com) designed as a logistics tracking page, hinting that the “Memory Cloud” may actually be delivered to ARMY members.
The offline pop-up will feature various attractions, including an exhibition of unseen portraits of the members and on-site events.
Currently, all seven BTS members are serving in the military. Jin, the oldest member, is set to be the first to complete his service in June.
