SEOUL, June 9 (Korea Bizwire) – Busan officials have confirmed that a Taiwanese TV drama has landed in the city, saying that scenes from the drama “Marry Me, or Not?” are currently being filmed. It is the first Taiwanese drama to feature Busan.
The drama will be led by famous actor Roy Chiu, who is hugely popular in China and Taiwan, and will be produced by staff from “Playful Kiss,” “Romantic Princess” and “Condition of Love.”
The segment being filmed shows the main character visiting major tourist attractions, including Gamcheon Culture Village, Gwangalli beach, the famous secondhand bookstores of Bosu-dong, BiFF Square, Jukseong Catholic Church in Gijang, and Busan Tower to gather information about honeymoon or wedding packages.
To portray Busan’s tourist attractions in the most flattering light possible for Taiwanese drama lovers, city officials participated in the writing of the screenplay with the production staff. The largest port city in Korea will develop wedding tour products related to the drama sites in hopes of attracting Taiwanese tourists.
The drama will air across Taiwan in October.
