BUSAN, Oct. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Busan’s Haeundae District received a design award in Hong Kong for an upcycling project that turns old clothes into bags.
The ‘Upcycle Closet Project,’ co-hosted by the district and the Haeundae Technology Education Center, won the Social Innovation Award at the 2020 Future Tense Design Award.
The award from the Hong Kong Designers Association goes to innovative designers active in Hong Kong and overseas.
The ‘Upcycle Closet Project’ invites residents to bring old and unused clothes to the education center, where they can learn how to use them to make upcycled bags.
