SEOUL, Feb. 15 (Korea Bizwire) – IT solutions and services have become a popular go-to for Korean businesses struggling with stagnant growth, allowing them to cut operating costs while boosting productivity.

Fuji Xerox Korea is one of the companies that offers such services. The company’s IT solutions focus on integrating multi-function devices with cloud computing, which allows Fuji’s corporate customers to save on data management costs.

For instance, the company’s “cloud fax” option automatically converts incoming fax documents into computer files and saves them on a cloud server instead of directly printing them, saving both paper and ink. The files are categorized by date, and employees can access them via mobile devices.

Similarly, “cloud printing” allows employees to print previously uploaded files from the Working Folder cloud server at any of the Fuji Xerox MFDs, after logging in with an ID and password.

On the other hand, KT Corp. is offering a corporate IT service called GiGA Office, which has been widely adopted by local SMEs.

GiGA Office is an all-round platform that offers IT-related services to customers, including internet connections, web security, server equipment, and monitoring via LAN connection with the nearest KT office. The same applies for companies with multiple offices across the country, which would typically need a virtual private network (VPN) but instead can use KT’s IT solution as an intermediary.

Some 4,500 local enterprises are currently taking advantage of GiGA Office.

DASAN Networks’ FireGUARD Security Switch is a security device that manages all computer traffic within an office. Unlike conventional equipment, it doesn’t generate unnecessary data packets, or require separate devices like sensors or scanners to block access from unauthorized computers, which makes its initial cost more affordable.

Roughly 100 local companies, schools, and public institutions are equipped with 5,000 of DASAN’s security devices.

“Different services offered by IT companies are boosting competitiveness by helping businesses cut down nonessential operating costs while improving work efficiency,” said Fuji Xerox Korea CEO Yasuaki Ueno.
