SEOUL, April 16 (Korea Bizwire) — Cadillac has officially unveiled its revamped flagship SUV, The New Escalade, in South Korea, signaling a major push to expand its luxury footprint in the competitive domestic market.
At a media launch event held April 16 at the Ibex Studio in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, the General Motors (GM) luxury brand announced the start of sales for the latest iteration of its globally renowned full-size SUV.
First introduced in 1998, the Escalade has sold more than one million units worldwide. The latest model is a significantly upgraded version of the fifth-generation Escalade, first introduced in South Korea in 2021. Cadillac describes the redesign as near-complete, with substantial changes to both exterior and interior elements.
The new Escalade features a bold vertical LED lighting system at both ends, inspired by Cadillac’s electric vehicle design language, giving the internal combustion model a modern, EV-like aesthetic. A massive 24-inch wheel—Cadillac’s largest ever—enhances the vehicle’s presence and stability on the road.
Inside, the cabin centers on a sweeping 55-inch curved LED display that stretches from driver to passenger in a seamless “pillar-to-pillar” configuration. It combines an 8K-resolution, 35-inch screen for the driver with a 4K, 20-inch screen for the front passenger. An additional command center touchscreen on the console allows for intuitive control of climate and seating functions.

Under the hood, the Escalade is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 gasoline engine producing 426 horsepower and 63.6 kg·m of torque. It includes dynamic fuel management technology that optimizes cylinder usage for improved fuel efficiency.
The SUV also features Cadillac’s signature Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 system, which adjusts suspension damping over 1,000 times per second to ensure a smooth and responsive ride under varying road conditions.

The vehicle is offered in two versions: the standard wheelbase Escalade and the extended wheelbase Escalade ESV, each available in Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport Platinum trims.
“This new Escalade honors Cadillac’s 123-year legacy of luxury while embracing forward-looking innovation,” said Myung-ok Yoon, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at GM Korea. “It’s more than just transportation—it’s designed to be a part of customers’ lifestyles, stories, and milestones of success.”
