SEOUL, Sept. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government has announced a trial project to offer customers who bring their own tumblers to cafes an additional discount of 300 won (US$0.23), in addition to any discounts already offered by the cafes.
The city government initially invited 100 cafes to participate in the project, and 129 cafes have applied.
The cafe offering the highest discount is 2,000 won, while the cafe offering the lowest discount is 100 won.
When factoring in the additional discount from the city government, the total discount amount ranges from 400 won to 2,300 won.
The trial will run from Sept. 1 to Nov. 30.
