SEOUL, Dec. 7 (Korea Bizwire)In a December 6 episode of Infinite Challenge, a reality show program on MBC-TV, actor Cha Seung-won made his second appearance in a segment challenging to work in a shaft as deep as 1,050 meters together with comedian Yoo Jae-suk. The two had been in a challenge mission nine years ago to carry coal briquettes in Reckless Challenge, the predecessor program.

After completing the filming in the coal mine with other miners, Cha said, “This was one of the most difficult filming experiences in 20 years of my acting career as I had a hard time even breathing in the shaft.”

Just like in 2005, he didn’t mind ruining his good-looking face with black coal powder, which impressed the viewers deeply. As he was cast in place of Noh Hong-chul who was forced to stop appearing on the program after his run-in with the law for drunken driving, viewers commented that Cha’s appearance has more than complemented Noh’s departure.

Early this year, he had been involved in a paternity suit over his son Noah that would potentially have damaged his reputation. At the time, his fame was at a peak with the TV drama “The Greatest Love.” He wisely got out of the predicament by saying, “I consider Noah as a son I gave birth from my heart and I never regretted the choice I made back then.”
