CHEONGDO, Apr. 16 (Korea Bizwire) — One hundred fighting bulls will have a fierce battle of horns at the Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival, which is being held at Cheongdo Bullfighting Stadium in Hwayang-eup.
The festival, which opened on April 15, will have weight-divided competitions for the first three days. More intriguing gambling-type competitions will be held for the final two days of the festival. A total of 121 million won will be given to the winners. Night lantern events will be also held every night from April 17 to 19 around Cheongdocheon Blue Bird Bridge.
The fighting bulls have been selected from farms not affected by a recent surge in foot-and-mouth disease, among bulls which have antibodies for the disease.
