COS COB, Conn., July 21, 2014 (Korea Bizwire)– Chicken Soup for the Soul®, the world’s favorite and most recognized storyteller, is proud to make their premiere appearance at SuperZoo, a leading industry trade show in the pet business, in Las Vegas this July 22-24, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.  Inspired by years of reading and publishing stories about the unique relationship between pets and people, Chicken Soup for the Soul is committed to making a significant impact in the pet industry via their books, high-quality pet food line, and charitable efforts. In addition to showcasing their dry and wet food for dogs and cats at all life stages at their SuperZoo booth, Chicken Soup for the Soul will host a celebrity-studded party, sneak preview their upcoming pet books and launch a new, long-term relationship with the American Humane Association and Miranda Lambert.

Exclusively for SuperZoo attendees, Chicken Soup for the Soul will distribute advance copies of their two new pet titles. Now available for pre-order on Amazon, Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Dog Did What? and Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Cat Did What? each feature 101 inspirational and entertaining stories about our canine and feline companions and the magic they bring to our lives. Each book has an authentic and heartfelt foreword by Miranda Lambert. Amy Newmark, publisher, editor-in-chief and author of the last 100 Chicken Soup for the Soul books noted, “Miranda is an incredibly dedicated and effective spokesperson for animal welfare and for the benefits of caring for and adopting rescue animals. She and we are big supporters of the American Humane Association and we are happy that the royalties from this book will go to the Association to further its good work.”

Chicken Soup for the Soul will host an invitation-only party at the Foundation Room, House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm hosted by award-winning actor and writer Anthony Anderson, star of iconic big and small screen titles such as Hustle and Flow, Law & Order, Meet the Andersons, and the upcoming ABC-TV Sitcom, Black-ish. The exclusive attendee guest list includes celebrities, media, and pet industry VIP’s.  The event menu will include recipes created by the Executive Chef of The Foundation Room featuring pasta sauces, barbecue sauces, broths and more from Chicken Soup for the Soul’s high quality food line.

Chicken Soup for the Soul is proud to serve as the official dog food sponsor for the American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards taking place in September, as well as the sponsor of the Guide & Hearing Dog award category. Chicken Soup for the Soul will be bringing the 2014 finalist in this category, Xxon, along with his human, Air Force Sergeant, Michael Malarsie, to Las Vegas to participate in all of the SuperZoo festivities. They will not only share their amazing story with attendees, but campaign for votes for the Hero Dog Awards.

As a part of their SuperZoo presence, Chicken Soup for the Soul will join forces with The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas to encourage pet adoptions beginning July 22 and throughout the month of August, in celebration of “Dog-ust,” the unofficial birthday month for all shelter dogs.

New pet parents who adopt a dog or cat from The Animal Foundation during this timeframe will receive a complimentary copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul’s newest books, Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Dog Did What? or Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Cat Did What? by Amy Newmark with a foreword written by Miranda Lambert; they’ll also be entered into a sweepstakes to win a year’s supply of Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food. Approximately, 1000 dogs and 400 cats are adopted each month from The Animal Foundation.

As part of its “Dog-ust” celebrations, Chicken Soup for the Soul will host a second sweepstakes on its Instagram and Facebook pages from August 1 to August 31. Each winner, and the shelter they adopted from, will receive a free year of Chicken Soup for the Soul wholesome and balanced dog food for one canine companion. To enter, contestants must submit a photo or brief blurb about their pet to Facebook or include the hashtag #DOGust2014 in an Instagram post. Then they must rally their friends and family to vote for their furry friend to become the winner of this delicious prize.
