Children’s Safety Class Coming to Town

SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Korea Bizwire) – The Ministry of Public Safety and Security (MPSS) announced that it will re-start Children’s Safety Classes in which the MPSS will visit children in Yongin starting October 2.

The classes were stopped due to the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), but will resume next month. Starting in Yongin, the classes will be held in 9 communities.

The Children’s Safety Classes will provide safety education about fire, earthquakes, seatbelts and fire safety to first and second graders, while concentrating on fire safety, seatbelts and food safety for third and fourth graders. The classes will take place over a two-day period on weekends.

For teachers, parents and drivers, a safety program for drivers will also be provided.

Classes will be held in Yongin (Gyeonggi, October 2,3), Gapyeong (Gyeonggi October 8,9), Wanju (Jeonbuk, October 16,17), Mokpo (Jeonnam, October 23,24), Pocheon (Gyeonggi, October 30,31), Gwangmyeong (Gyeonggi, November 6,7), Sejong (November 13,14), Suncheon (Jeonnam, November 20,21), and Dongducheon (Gyeonggi, November 27,28).
