SEOUL, April 10 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean convenience store chains are continuing discount promotions for popular alcoholic beverages, including whisky and wine.
CU sold 1,600 bottles of some 30 popular whiskies and wines at 30 stores in the Seoul region last weekend at a discount rate of up to 30 percent.
Balvenie 12-Year-Old Double Wood was sold at a discounted price, along with Glenfiddich 30-Year-Old Time Series and Macallan 12-Year-Old Double Wood.
Emart24 sold two types of packages comprised of two wine bottles and a ticket to a wine gala dinner via a mobile app.
The package includes two kinds of Penfolds Koonunga Hill and a ticket to a dinner show, and two kinds of Ruffino Riserva Ducale and a ticket to a Ruffino dinner show.
