SEOUL, April 20 (Korea Bizwire) — With canned beer permitted at some baseball stadiums this season, convenience store chains are scrambling to host various beer promotional events.
Emart24 is currently offering a beer package of six cans (two kinds) for 9,900 won (US$7.48).
Customers who purchase the beer package can also sign up for a lottery by scanning an integrated barcode on Emart24’s mobile app. Three customers will win season tickets for the 2023 SSG Landers home matches.
GS25 is also offering a beer package of six cans of imported beer for 12,000 won.
“Last week, we were notified that Jamsil Baseball Stadium will allow sales of canned beer and other canned beverages,” said GS25.
CU is offering a beer package of five cans of popular beer for 10,000 won on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays when demand for beer spikes. Each can costs 2,000 won, with a 50-percent discount.
