SEOUL, July 18 (Korea Bizwire) — In the domestic job market, the most popular job category turned out to be IT development, data showed Monday.
According to an analysis of talent pool data by recruiting platform Saramin, the number of job offers in the first half of this year showed a 7.9 percent increase compared to the second half of last year.
Job offers were most frequently extended to individuals with five years of experience (10 percent), followed by those with six years of experience (9.8 percent), four years of experience (9.2 percent), seven years of experience (8.6 percent), and three years of experience (7.7 percent).
The job category that received the highest number of job offers in the first half of this year was IT development and data, accounting for 17.3 percent, followed by accounting, taxation, and finance at 11.3 percent; production at 10.3 percent; marketing, PR, and research at 9.4 percent; and sales, marketing, and trade at 9 percent.
Saramin’s analysis of salary information by job category, based on last year’s data, revealed that the job category with the highest average annual salary was professional and specialized jobs, amounting to 52.05 million won (US$41,160).
It was followed by R&D at 49.5 million won, construction and design at 48.17 million won, IT and Internet at 47.82 million won, and management and planning at 47.55 million won.
