GYEONGJU, Aug. 6 (Korea Bizwire)During the forthcoming Silk Road Cultural Festival in Gyeongju, a digital duty-free shop will be operated for foreign visitors to the event. Foreign visitors will be able to order products through touchscreen-based kiosks and pick them up at the airport when they leave Korea.

The Gyeongju World Culture Expo organizing committee announced on August 5 that it signed an MoU with Lotte Duty Free for the successful hosting of the Silk Road in Gyeongju festival. Under the agreement, Lotte Duty Free will set up the digital duty free shop from August 21 for 59 days.

The organizing committee expects that the digital duty free shop will help attract more foreign visitors, including those from China.
