Disposable Amenities Disappear from Luxury Hotels

SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Korea Bizwire)Disposable amenities are disappearing from luxury hotels as the Ministry of Environment begins imposing restrictions on the use of disposable products at accommodation facilities.

Hotel Lotte introduced large dispensers at all Signiel, Lotte Hotel, L7 and Lotte City Hotels.

Josun Hotels & Resorts also introduced dispensers at its Westin Josun Seoul/Busan, L’Escape, Gravity, and Four Points Josun Myeongdong/Seoul Station properties.

Hotel Shilla introduced dispensers at some of the Shilla Stay properties in the country.

A number of customers are expressing disappointment as the amenities are disappearing.

Some of them have been collecting amenities from a variety of hotels or selling them on online secondhand stores.

“It relates to customer loyalty, that is why hotels are deeply concerned about their designs and concepts,” an industry official said.
