SEOUL, Sept. 27 (Korea Bizwire)The Dobong District Office in Seoul has announced the launch of a help service for single-person households looking for jeonse (long-term deposit rental system) or weolse (monthly rent) apartments, as part of efforts to address their difficulty in finding a stable place to live.

To help single-person households, including the beginners in social life who lack knowledge in real estate transactions, to find safe jeonse or weolse rentals, the district office appointed a group of licensed real estate agents who have abundant knowledge and experience in property transactions as special helpers.

They will provide a variety of services, including consultations on rental contracts, information on jeonse and weolse prices, comparison of neighboring areas, accompanying potential tenants when visiting homes, and guidance on residential support policies.

In addition, to protect single-person households from property fraud, the special helpers will provide customized consultations on various things that they need to be cautious about when signing contracts, among others, how to check the certified copies of the registers and building ledgers.

If single-person households feel uncomfortable visiting homes alone, the helpers can accompany them, providing various tips. If needed, they also can accompany the resident until contracts are signed.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to expand the scope of areas that can use such a service from the existing five districts to 14 districts, including Dobong.
