SEOUL, March 6 (Korea Bizwire) — Concern is growing over the blood supply in South Korea as an increasing number of people are reluctant to donate blood due to concerns about the novel coronavirus.
The Blood Center, an affiliate organization of the Korea Industrial Health Association, kicked off an event Wednesday to provide one KF94 mask as well as souvenirs to those donating blood.
The event will run until March 31, and everyone can participate by visiting a blood donation bus or a blood donation cafe run by the center.
According to the Korea Red Cross, stable blood reserves, including blood sourced from the center, average more than five days, but the current amount is only 3.4 days based on data from Tuesday.
