SEOUL, Feb. 12 (Korea Bizwire) – South Korean appliance manufacturer Dongbu Daewoo Electronics Corp. participated as an official sponsor for France’s handball league, the company said Monday.
Hand Star Game 2018 opened Saturday (local time) in Paris, the consumer electronics company said, adding that handball is the national sport in France.
As the main sponsor, an all-star team of professional French players wore uniforms with the company’s logo, and advertising boards were placed inside the stadium, officials said.
Daewoo Dongbu said the company is experiencing the benefits of advertising and enhanced brand exposure since the game was broadcast live nationwide by various sports channels.
The company said its microwave ovens and refrigerators are selling steadily in the European country, with greater effort being made to expand market share going forward.
