SEOUL, Nov. 22 (Korea Bizwire)South Korea’s fuel cell maker Doosan Fuel Cell Co. said Monday that it had signed a deal with China’s ZKRG Smart Energy Technology Co. to supply hydrogen fuel cells as well as to establish a joint venture.

Under the terms of the deal, Doosan Fuel Cell will export a total of 105 megawatts (MW) of hydrogen fuel cells to China on a gradual basis.

Of the total, 50 MW will be exported by 2024 in a finished product format, while the remaining 55 MW will be exported by 2026 in a component format.

Through the establishment of a joint venture, the two parties agreed to support the development of China’s hydrogen fuel cell power generation market and explore new business opportunities.

In addition, Doosan Fuel Cell plans to supply hydrogen fuel cells for a carbon-free hospital project that is scheduled to be carried out in China’s Guangdong Province.

“We will set up a hydrogen fuel cell factory and a service unit in China in the future,” said Che Hoo-seok, vice president of Doosan Fuel Cell.
