SEOUL, March 31 (Korea Bizwire)Doosan Mobility Innovation (DMI), a producer of portable fuel cell power packs, said Thursday it had signed a partnership agreement with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)’s Electric Vehicle Team to jointly develop a hydrogen fuel cell-powered motorcycle.

The hydrogen motorcycle will be developed by integrating DMI’s DM15 hydrogen fuel cell power pack module with a two-wheel vehicle designed and developed directly by the MIT EVT.

The DM15 is a lightweight, high-safety hydrogen fuel cell power pack module with a maximum output of 1.5 kilowatts. Other strengths include low noise levels and durability.

As it is easy to customize the DM15, it can be used in a variety of ground and air mobility solutions, including drones.

“For DMI, this partnership has significance as it represents not only the expansion of business operations, but also the acquisition of data to upgrade the performance and durability of the DM15,” the company said.
