SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Korea Bizwire) — E-Mart24 Inc., one of South Korea’s major convenience store chains, said Friday it aims to open 100 stores in Cambodia by 2028, as it signed a deal with a local partner to make inroads into the Southeast Asian country.
E-Mart24 signed the deal with Saihan Partners, a joint venture of Cambodia’s food and beverage group Saisons Brother Holding Co. and South Korea’s Hanlim Architecture Group, according to company officials.
Saihan Partners plans to open the first E-Mart24 store in the first half of next year and expand to 100 stores by 2028, according to the Korean company.
Cambodia is the third country E-Mart24 is entering following Malaysia and Singapore, which currently have 46 and three brand stores, respectively.
