SEJONG, Jan. 23 (Korea Bizwire) — The administrative city of Sejong will introduce South Korea’s first electric articulated buses, an eco-friendly means of public transportation using electricity as a source of energy, beginning Thursday.
Two buses will enter service for each of the two bus routes, carrying a maximum of 84 passengers. The buses can cover a distance of 200 kilometers on a single charge.
The buses come with a lane departure warning system, electronic brake force distribution system, forward collision warning system, as well as automatic wheelchair fastening device and cell phone charging stations for passengers.
