SEOUL, Nov. 26 (Korea Bizwire) — Emart24, Shinsegae Group’s convenience store chain, is offering a one-month food guarantee service in December that offers customers a full refund if a food product tastes bad, as it plans to attract new customers and stimulate franchise activities.
All refund costs will be paid by Emart24.
The food guarantee service applies to some 20 products carefully selected by Emart24 including Minsaeng Spicy Noodles, Taro Sushi, and Premium Bakery.
Seventeen of the 20 selected products account for 70.8 percent of all transactions at Emart24 franchises. Each selected product will be marked with food guarantee stickers for easy identification.
Emart24 plans to make the service permanent depending on feedback from customers and franchise managers after the test-run in December.
All refunds, applied through the Emart24 mobile application, will come as mobile gift cards, allowed once per product.
“The purpose of the food guarantee service is to strengthen the competitiveness of Emart24’s signature merchandise,” said Lee Seong-min, head of the Strategic Marketing Team at Emart 24.
“We plan to bring the taste and quality of our products to another level as well as raise customer and manager satisfaction and trust by listening to our customers.”
